Thi is a rather hard-to-find but a very needed gizmo for all the Apple lovers out there needing to access the bottom pin-port on their protected players. Helps to avoid intermittent sound or poor connectivity issues when using a dedicated line-out from your iPod or iPhone to a headphone amplifier or other audio device while improving the durability of your iPod/iPhone. The SendStation dock extender works flawlessly with any iPhone, but does not fully fit into the Apple iPhone Dock or Apple iPhone Dual Dock. HeadRoom recommends using Apple’s 'Universal Dock' instead. Black color.
Your SendStation Dock Extender comes equipped with a matching 'Universal Dock' insert including removable supports plus three interchangeable bumper caps. All iPods in all cases can be recharged and since the player's 30 pin system is a true 'pass thru' design, any other iPod feature(s) works as well. It’s like a good friend, one you can lean on!
The SendStation Dock Extender is compatible with all Apple devices with 30-pin dock connector including:

However, we found the SendStation Dock Extender does NOT fit Otterbox Defender case for iPhone 3G/3GS -- yet fits perfectly the Defender for iPhone 4. Also doesn't quite work for Apple Bumper case or Element Case Vapor for iPhone 4, but it can be easily 'retrofitted' for those units.
