Jorge told me that there might be a 10% improvement with the Cardas Clear. I bought them.
Let me say this - I was really into Audiophile products in the 70's and 80's. I went through Crown, Audio Research, John Iverson's Electro Research, and on and on and on. However, one thing I never did fall for was the psychological b.s. of the Audiophile industry - such things such as "I added their $175 rubber grommet to the bottom of my turntable and the whole sound just seemed to open up!"
With that said and with regard to this Cardas add-on, it may not be night and day and the whole sound may not just "open up" but it is a real improvement. The bottom end on the HE-500's is tightened up and sounds in general are more spatial or separated.
I'm glad I communicated with Jorge who was open and honest. I was going to go for a set of Moon Audio's Silver Dragons but the guy to whom I spoke at Moon Audio acted like I was bothering him just to place an order. I'll stick with the folks at HeadRoom.
