Try listening to your beloved high-end headphones through a cheap headphone extension cord found at an average box store and you’ll probably be stunned at how much it can negatively impact the sound quality. This excellent Grado Labs design is likely the lowest-grade headphone extension cable you should ever use with your quality headphone rig. The sound remains clear & crisp without only very minimal graininess added to the overall audio presentation, even when used with excellent high-end audio sources.

This beefy black 15-foot headphone extension cord provides good clean sonic performance without the listener having to suffer painful wallet blow-out. Both male & female gold-plated terminations use high-grade molded, 1/4" full-size headphone connectors. Great product
Posted by jchandler3 from Ashland, OH on 2010-02-15

Recommend Product: Yes
Pros: Great quality, good length, decent price

This cable is great Grado quality. Some people have mentioned signal degradation and I understand the science behind why that would happen, however, I don't notice a difference. It sounds great to me, and really, any extension should degrade for the same reasons. The ends on it are nice and tough and this is a pretty decent price for what it is.

Great cable

Recommend Product: Yes

Typically solid Grado accessory, and for me, essential. Other people may notice some loss of sound quality when using this, but not me. Or perhaps better said, I cannot tell for certain whether I am hearing any loss of sound quality, which for me is enough to say that I do not notice any loss. In any event, I use mine almost every night. The cable is thicker than the one that comes with almost any headphone I have ever owned, other than Grados themselves. Great buy.

Good for the Price

I have chained 2 of these together and then to my GS1000 and have not experienced any noticeable degrading in sound quality.
