Here's an easy way to get room-filling sound directly from your iPod or iPhone in three easy steps: 1) position the Boston Acoustics i-DS3 main unit in a convenient place; 2) position the sub-woofer anywhere in the room and plug it in; and 3) position yourself anywhere in the room and push play on the remote control. It really couldn't be simpler. The i-DS3 charges the iPod and has video connections so you can hook your iPod to a TV for movie & video watching.

How about some awesome background music with plenty of clean 'umph' and terrific musical detail right from your iPod or iPhone? The sleek looking Boston Acoustics i-DS3Plus does an excellent job of producing wonderful room-filling tunes with a simple-to-use main speaker cabinet and partner wireless sub-woofer that can be neatly tucked away elsewhere in the room without having to run any wires. We suggest starting with a sub-woofer setting of just under midway for the most accurate sound. Pleas experiment with the varied sub-woofer settings to suit to taste and location.
The main i-DS3 Plus cabinet is very easy to use -- simply dock the iPod and play it as normal. Volume is adjusted with +/- buttons on the cabinet or through the handy remote control. A 'stereo expansion' feature is also on-board, which attempts to steer a bit of extra sound in the upper mid-ranges to the left & right into wider, more expansive stereo positioning. This possibly makes for a little livelier presentation in a large room or a listening environment with a lot of damping materials like shag carpet, large upholstery,or thick drapes.
The Apple iPod/iPhone will charge as it plays in the i-DS3 Plus built-in player dock, and the Boston Acoustics systems offer video output capability so that you can easily watch your iPod/iPhone videos right on your home T.V.
