Sennheiser HD 580/600 Replacement Cable
This replacement cable from Sennheiser is an easy fix for the Sennheiser HD 580 and HD 600. If ol' Fido gets hold of your headphones, or if your stock headphone cord develops a short or intermittent connection, this new cable will easily solve your problems. (Well, at least the problems with your cables.)
Identical to the stock-issue HD580/HD600 headphone cord, this replacement cable is terminated to a mini-plug 1/8" [3.5mm] connection. The packaging handily includes the Sennheiser full-size 1/4" adapter as well.

I purchased the Sennheiser HD 580's about 10 years ago and they have been a great set of cans! After years of stepping on the cord and yanking it out, it finally shorted. As far as I'm concerned, for the amount of abuse that the cord took it lasted a long time.

My old one shorted out after several years of "abuse". I figure I'll try to respect this cable a little more, because $35 for a skinny little cable is a bit crazy. It works, sounds as good as the old one. That's all you can really ask. I bought this for a HD 580.

Connects your headphones to your audio source in a perfectly acceptable fashion. Sounds fine. Is not up to the standards of some of the more expensive aftermarket cables.
