Sennheiser HD650 Replacement Cable
This is the thick stock-issue HD-650 replacement cable manufactured by Sennheiser terminated to a full-size 1/4" plug. It's a bit beefier versus the HD580/HD600 stock cord but it will still work with the Sennheiser HD600/HD580 models.

If you are looking for a cable upgrade for your Sennheiser HD-580/600/650s but can't stomach the price of the Cardas options, this is a great compromise. I haven't heard the Cardas, and I'm sure it's better, but this did make both a sound improvement and just felt better, beefier. Great steal and if you're plugging into a 1/4" jack gets rid of that 1/8 to 1/4 adaptor.

Pros: Long, flexible, fits HD580s
Cons: The ear piece connectors protrude too far
This is a great cable. It is long, flexible, and seems to be well made. I like the fact that is compatible with my HD580s and is a bit tougher than the stock HD580 cable.
My only complaint is that the L/R ear piece connectors protrude quite a bit down from the bottom of the HD580 earpieces. This makes the headphones a bit awkward when you are tilting your head to the side.

Pros: It really does sound better and should last longer!
Cons: A bit pricy - still less that Cardas
I am one of those doubters that wonders a lot about the 'sound' of cables, but when I replaced the cable (third time) on my HD600s with this new one, there is audible difference! This is especially noticeable when using my Benchmark DAC-1!
