Pros: Lighter than other popular ones, Comfortable, great price
Cons: coiled cable (but thats just me)
I did a run-in for 4 hrs, and finally these are my evaluations for how the headphone performed on different genres of music -

The boomy bass was reproduced nicely, sustains were also impressive, but these will not give you 'warm' or heavy bass. These are, for the most part, neutral headphones with a little extra emphasis on higher-mids and highs.
Overall, this is a definite recommendation for someone looking for headphones under $100.

Pros: Sound, Quality constuction,Classic style,Bayonet clip cord, Block out most noise
Cons: Ear pads comfortable but a litte big for wearing outside the house.
I use them with my computer,and Denon reciever mostly, and they perform great. They are also comfotable for long periods of time.These are not noise canceling but really block out the outside world. I used them on my last plane trip and they blocked out most ofthe engine noise.

Cons: Very comfortable, but could use more Head Grip
I actually crave a headphone with both good isolation and a flat(+-5dB) response, as opposed to headphones that "cater" to certain listener groups. I figure, I'm spending over $100 for closed-headphones, I'm expecting them to at least 'approach' flatness. As opposed to Sony's XB-500 or -700, which peak out at +15dB below 400Hz according to the tests here!
If I need that kind of response curve that's what I have an equalizer for - 5-bands on my mp3 player, 15bands on my home stereo eq. If headphone . com could show the human hearing curve, it would represent a lopsided mountain skewed to the right, with a peak between 2-4kHZ, a gradual roll-off above 6kHz, and a steep drop off down to the left, below 300-400Hz. Don't forget that we become more sensitive to those lows as the volume is raised!
The avg human ear is most sensitive to the speech range - upper midrange I illustrated above, but I don't believe mfgs of amps, speakers, and headphones should attempt to compensate for this in their products. If you want accurate sound - to hear what your favorite songs "really" sound like - at least start out with one of the sets I own above. For a couple of hundred more you can go even flatter with the Denon AH-D series(2000, 5000).
The only warning: Most people will not "like" flat sound because no two people hear the same freqs the same volume. But at least you can trust that what was intended to be heard will be passed along to you - and it's up to you and the EQ to tailor it to your preference.
