DENON AH-C751K
DENON makes some great sealed full-size headphones and they also offer a solid line of in-ear canal headphones. The AH-C751k earphones have a unique ported armature that is part of Denon's proprietary 'Acoustic Optimizer' design said to be responsible for a smoother, more 'open' sound than is typically heard with most ECHs. The vented port on the C751k does deliver a bit more spacious quality to the musical presentation while slightly lessening the overall sense of isolation /noise-blocking ability -- which listeners intent on remaining somewhat aware of their surroundings might appreciate. The audio detail resolution is fairly clear overall although it lacks the seamless extension at the edges of the frequency range available with pricier ear canal headphones. Good presence and good pricing make this a strong audio performer in a rather crowded category of headphones.
The DENON AH-C751k are manufactured in an all-black look with a machined aluminum housing & connector cover for maximized durability, reduced outer armature vibration, and best sound. The big bullet -shaped earpieces on the C751k are fairly oversize and might perhaps be a bit bulky-fitting for smaller-eared listeners. The C751k packaging includes 3 sizes of silicon eartip sleeves in s/m/l. The DENON earphone cord is a modular design with a 0.5 meter 'Y'-type OFC cable extending from the earphones and a longer 0.8 meter (31" inch) extension cord provided, allowing for a total run of around 1.3 meters of cord to your audio source. Also included is a nifty hard-sided clamshell storage/travel case. The 1-year manufacturer's warranty is handled exclusively by Denon worlwide.
