The Ultimate Ears top-of-the-line ear canal headphone is just glorious! You simply won’t believe such a smoothly lush and incredibly detailed sound can come from something this small. Though possibly leaning a tad towards the warm side of the sonic spectrum, these tiny little cans provide an inviting, spacious, and downright fun sound unlike any we’ve heard from an ear canal headphone. Yeah, you’ll pay high top-dollar for these miniaturized gems, but they’re totally worth it. We say cry once as you fork over the big dough... but then forever enjoy near-total ambient noise isolation AND the finest tunes available on two feet.

The ear canal headphone industry’s first 4-driver armature in the UE-11 fully delivers on the audiophilic promise of natural articulation and supreme musical coherence. Discrete dual bass, midrange, and tweeter microdrivers and three-way cross-over topology ensure each driver is well within its sonic capabilities as they produce truly reference sound. The UE11 is perhaps not quite as technically 'neutral' as the amazing UE10 but if we had our druthers we'd probably go for the UE11's deep lushness every time over the UE10s slightly drier soundscape; We'll add that either of these Ultimate Ears custom-model earphones is actually a jaw-dropping listening experience, even for us jaded audiophile geeks!

The fit of these cans, when the in-ear mold/impression is properly done by an experienced audiologist, is simply outstanding. A wide variety of cosmetic colors are available from UE, and the earpieces will come stamped with your initials for that lovely personalized touch. The headphones arrive in a shiny metal valise featuring your full name prominently engraved on it along with an earphone nozzle cleaning tool and a smaller burnished metal travel case housed inside. The valise contains removable/customizable foam inserts that you can trim to perfectly nuzzle your iPod or other Mp3 player device nicely within right along with the UE11 earphones & all accessories.
