Sennheiser PXC 250

The Sennheiser PXC-250 are ideal "noise-canceling" headphones for the tired traveler / commuter or for a noisy, distracting workplace environment. The PXC-250 is a compact, very lightweight, comfortable headphone but, best of all, it offers around 10-12dB of "active" noise-blocking/ ambient noise attenuation, principally in the lower ranges of the audible frequency spectrum under 1,000kHz. The sound quality of the PXC-250 is actually quite respectable given the unit's thorny noise-canceling design & extra electronic hoo-haas and is perhaps even superior in many ways to that of the 'big-name' noise-canceling headsets. It's an excellent headphone choice for getting some well-deserved shut-eye on those white noise-filled airplane cabins. So make your next long or short trip much more enjoyable with good sound, great headset ergonomics, and substantially less ambient noise disturbance.

Sennheiser's proprietary PXC-250 'NoiseGard' noise-cancelling housing is attached to the headphone cable itself. The housing has a lighted on/off switch indicating whether the noise-canceling has been activated and it contains 2-AAA batteries to power the "active electronics" technology. The PXC headband neatly collapses down allowing the headphone to easily store into an included carrying/travel pouch. The ultra-lightweight headband design of the PXC-250 offers a bit extra comfy padding compared to the more basic entry-level PXC-150 model. The PXC headphones are terminated to a 1/8" (3.5mm) "mini-plug" and also come with the larger 1/4" full-size adapter provided in the packaging. The specialized two-prong airline adapter required for plugging into the airplane's built-in sound system is also handily supplied with the PXC-250. All Sennheiser headphones maintain a strong 2-yr product warranty offered by the manufacturer.
