Computer audiophiles demanding simplicity, flexibility, and great musical performance from a single box will love the Peachtree iNova preamplifier, amplifier, headphone amp, and digital to analog converter (DAC) all-in--one component. Just connect a pair of speakers and your entire home or office audio system is 100% complete. There is no spider's web of complex menus to navigate just to play music; nicely illuminated buttons on the front panel are intuitive and easy to use right out of the box without demanding a day's study of the owner's manual. However, the simplicity should not be mistaken for lack of performance or features. The amazing acoustic flxibility of the iNova remains similar to the original Nova while improving upon the internal parts arrays for the best sound quality possible at this price from one sleekly curved sexy box. Digital inputs for optical S/PDIF, electrical S/PDIF, computer USB, and a killer digital iPod/iPhone dock join analog inputs including a nifty home theater 'bypass' that's ideal for listeners combining 2-channel and 5.1 channel / surround sound home theater systems. The unique switching flexibility allows pure playback of 2-channel through the iNova directly to the speakers bypassing all the negative signal processing of a typical A/V receiver. Like the previous Peachtree Nova, the iNova's excellent audio engineering minimizes all extraneous noise from grounding and switching power supply issues through galvanic isolation and transformer coupling the digital inputs, an especially important trait for computer audio sources in particular.
The iNova innards features a superb Sabre DAC 9016 chipset offering improved resolution versus the original Nova topology along with new vacuum tube buffer stage delivering deeper tonal warmth and bloom along with a huge soundstage; this difference in tube stages becomes plainly evident using audiophile headphones and the iNova's warmer presence synergizes quite well with analytical or bright-leaning headphones like the Sennheiser HD800 or Beyerdynamic Tesla T1 for audiophiles desiring a smoother timbral pallette and a more "tubey" headphone presentation.
