Applications:
A solid little in-ear stereo headset for mobility on a bit of a budget, the Klipsch Image S2m has clean, solid sound quality with a robust bass response, but is perhaps slightly muted on the top-most treble ranges and missing some brilliance. Frankly, those are minor quibbles given the S2m's strong price vs audio performance and excellent mic feature compared to other models at this level. In our HeadRoom opinion, the Klipsch S2m overall rate slightly better-sounding than other in-ear smartphone headsets at this pricepoint.
Isolation and comfort are both excellent with the S2m primarily due to the unique 'half-oval' ear tip design wholly proprietary to Klispch Audio. Klipsch engineers determined that the average ear is basically oval in cross-section and has manufactured eartip sets that perfectly conform to this shape. Indeed, our own customer feedback reports that the Image S2m are amongst the most comfortable wearing experiences in the entire category and, hence, ideal for newcomers to in-ear headsets. The construction design seems to be very durable and we found the isolation and comfort of this headset superior to others we've tested at this price.
The Klipsch S2m has a nifty small sliding cord-keeper included on the cable so that once the earpieces are in place within your ears, the cord can be easily routed over the top of your earlobes and then snugged at the back of the neck if so desired. This ensures a secure fit even during active uses (gym work, exercise, running, etc) and prevents the cables from rubbing against your clothing and making unpleasant contact noises at your ears. The overall look and feel of these in-ear cans is impressive and the microphone offers very good clarity and voice intelligibility for smartphone conversations. The three different eartip sizes ensure a proper fit within your ears. A small carry/ travel pouch is included with your Klipsch purchase.

Pros: Light comfortable fit, great sound.
Cons: They do stick out of the ear a bit
I wrap them around my player and stuff them in my pants pocket every day with
no effect on them. The sound quality is great once they are broken in. It takes a while for them to loosen up, but when they do they have excellent sound when driven with enough power. My Sansa Fuze drives them nicely where my Creative ZenV doesn't sound as good. Not bad, just not as good. The one reviewer from California who said they fall out has never used an "in ear monitor" before. They are supposed to be sealed into your ear canal, no just rest inside your ear lobe like a stock IPOD ear bud. I did replace the stock tips with Comply foam tips for a better seal, but that may just be the shape of my ear canal. I would recommend these to anybody looking for a great sounding durable and affordable in ear monitor. If you have a bit more cash, step up to the S4's.

Pros: Comfort, Isolation
Cons: Dry Sound
Sound quality is very satisfying but can be a little dry compared to headphones that have stronger bass emphasis. The sound is very balanced though and is great for spoken word. Cable slap has been mentioned as a concern, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, all IEMs have this problem to a certain extent and Klipsch S2's aren't any worse than others.
Appearance and build quality are just fine. Nothing has broken in a year of heavy use and they look fine. Since IEM's are jammed into my canal most of the time the appearance isn't a big deal to me.
