Applications:
An impressive in-ear headset at a fair price designed for conversational travelers who love rich music reproduction, the Klipsch Image S4i has strong but clean bass response. The built-in S4i microphone is highly serviceable and delivers clear conversation to the party on the other end without needing to be held up to your mouth, so Apple iPhone/iPad call functionality is excellent. To be picky, the overall tone can occassionally be just a tad rolled-off on top treble ranges and slightly 'dry-sounding' with certain high-detail audiophile recordings. Interestingly, this sonic signature also actually helps with call or voice intelligibility since overly boomy low-end bass won't get in the way of your call quality. While the overall acoustic sound largely remains on par with other in-ear 'headsets' at this price, the build quality and wearing comfort of these little gems is superior as expected from one of the most respected speaker manufacturers in the world.
One of the reasons that isolation and comfort are both terrific with the Klipsch S4i headset is primarily due to the unique oval eartip design patented by Klipsch Audio. Klipsch engineers determined that the average ear is basically oval in cross-section and designed eartips that correctly conform to this difficult shape. The advanced Klipsch tips do indeed work very well; we found the isolation and comfort of this headset superior to almost all others we've tested anywhere near this price, which may be a big consideration for newcomers to the 'in-ear' headphone experience. The S4i earpiece cosmetics are black with some neat chrome flashing for looks appeal and a small sliding cord-keeper is included on the cable so that once the earpieces are in place, the cables can be routed over the top of your ears, and then snugged at the back of the neck to avoid cord slack or tangles. This also ensures a secure fit and prevents the cables from rubbing against your clothing and making dreaded 'cable microphonics' noises at your ears. Handily, three different Klipsch gel eartip sizes [S/M/L] and a carrying/travel pouch is included with your S4i purchase.

Recommend Product: No
Pros: Excellent Sound Isolation
Cons: NOT durable, "closed in" sounding
Bought these for my iPhone on cnet's recommendation. Bad call...
After using these less that 20 times for biking to work and going to the gym two sets of S4i's failed. Finally contacted Klipsch and traded them for the non buttoned S4. By the way they did not compensated me for the difference in price...
Klipsch: be forewarned they don't seem to be terribly good with buttons. And after hearing the Denons AH-C360 & C560, I don't feel they're terribly good with sound. Comparatively the Klipsch s4 sound compressed. These on the other hand the Denons have a dramatically more open sound and moderate sound isolation.
I gave the S4's to my wife
Bought both pairs of Denon's on Headroom's recommendation. Bravo good call guys, and great service
