A marvelously executed exercise in form and function by Monster Headphones, the funky rockn'roll, smooth R&B and slammin' hip-hop tunes are definitely very good-sounding with the Beats by Dr.Dre Tour 'ControlTalk' in-ear headphones. But the real star is the Tour's simply monstrously exquisite cosmetic looks. Naturally, the Tour delivers on its promise of bangin' bass response along with decently clear vocal/speech/dialogue ranges and smooth mids & highs. Natty deep gloss black and chrome earpieces featuring the red and white Beats logo are offset with a sweet flat red cord that terminates into one of the best-connecting, most sexy 1/8" [3.5mm] mini-plugs we've seen.The Monster Beats by Dre Tour CT in-ear fit is not overly invasive or deep into the ear canal, so even newcomers to the in-ear experience should have no trouble rockin' these anywhere the music takes you.
The proprietary Monster 'ControlTalk' [CT] provides two great features. You get easy on-cable control of your iPod or iPhone playback which means no more digging for the player every time you want to change volume, pause, or go to the next track. The Tour CT has a high-grade microphone and its 'in-ear' noise-isolating properties allows you hear clearly without cranking up the volume (nice!) and also be clearly heard anywhere, anytime with your Apple or other smartphone.
