With the proliferation of the Apple iPhone and iPad as quality portable music sources, upgrading the stock earbuds provided with the player is kind of a no-brainer. The Sennheiser MM50 iP replacement iPhone earbuds/mic stereo headset offers clear audio detail significantly superior to stock earbud performance, along with a quality integrated microphone delivering clear communication during your smartphone chats. The overall MM50 iP sound signature for music is similar to the Sennheiser CX300II earphones on which MM50 iP is based so expect warm bass response, clean highs, and decent -- but not 100% total -- noise-blocking isolation. These remain a good choice if you want in-ears but don't want to be completely shut off from the outside world. The short cord length has the mic / talk buttons handily located on a small housing attached to the earphone cabling, so it's blessedly simple to quickly answer your calls while still jamming along to some tunes. We consider these to be a de-rigeur upgrade to any iPad, iPhone or other compatible smartphone or mobile music player you own.
The Sennheiser MM-50 iP earphones come in piano-black color and feature an asymetrical "J"-type cable design in which one side of the cord is slighty longer to minimize cable slack when wearing your iPhone/iPod on the hip, shirt pocket, or arm strap. The 3.5mm 4-pole jack easily connects to any iPhone, iPod, iPad or other mobile player. The MM 50 iP comes with three sizes of black silicone eartip sleeves (S/M/L) to help with achieving the correct personalized in-ear fit for best sound clarity and ambient isolation performance. The MM50 iP's efficient 16 Ohm impedance coupled with high 106dB sensitivity specs ensure robust volume output from just about any source with no outboard headphone amp required. A 2-year manufacturer's warranty is standard with all Sennheiser headphone products with your HeadRoom 'authorized dealer' receipt.
