Not only can you go any where in the house, but you get great sound, too. Sennheiser's specs indicate a clear transmission range of 100 meters, although we have found this to be slightly optimistic if there are major barriers in between the headphones and the base. However we feel their transmission range is excellent and easily long enough for most household activities. This is one of the best wireless headphone systems we've heard.
The RS 65 use a modest sized, plastic design. The circumaural velour ear pads surround the ear comfortably. The headset is surprisingly light for being chock full of batteries and electronics. The headphone receiver is self-tuning, so the only controls on the headphones are a power on/off switch and a volume control. The battery easily slips in and out of the earpiece for recharging in the base unit (you also get a spare battery). The base transmitter unit comes with all the cables you need to connect to most stereos, TVs and portable players.
