Shure E2G
MSRP $99.00
Shure's "G" series of ear canal headphones [ECH]are ostensibly geared for portable gaming applications like the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), GameBoy Advanced SP or similar high-tech entertainment & gaming devices now in the hands of funsters all over the globe. They will also work equally well from absolutely any portable audio player device. The entry-level E2-G is constructed with Shure's proprietary dynamic single microdriver technology delivering rich, full-range audio while blocking distracting ambient noise that could intrude upon your immersive gaming experience. Decent bass response with slightly recessed mids and a respectable upper treble range response is the general sonic signature of the E2-G. The one caveat is that the earpieces for these are fairly large so kids/adults with smallish ears might find the tight fit somewhat uncomfortable; upscaling to the E3-G model will likely provide a much more ergonomic, musically balanced, and well-detailed listening experience. Stylish, lightweight and tiny, the E2-G's black matte cosmetics also match up with the PSP's dark n' mysterious color scheme. These Shure ear canal headphones are a worthwhile and fairly inexpensive audio upgrade to the completely crap-tastic earbuds that come supplied with portable gamers, Mp3 players, iPods, laptop computers, etc.
Their superb sensitivity and an extremely low impedance rating of 16 ohms make the E2-G a perfect companion to any portable gamer or portable audio device. The E2-G includes a selection of interchangeable eartip sleeves allowing for a personalized fit. The 4.5ft E2-G cord is terminated with a gold-plated stereo 1/8" [3.5mm] mini-plug and a nifty zippered carrying /storage/ travel pouch is also included. A Shure two-year parts & labor warranty remains standard with their entire ear canal headphone product line.
