Pros: Good for an amateur audiophile
Cons: expensive and doesnt save much
I found the amp pretty useful and it did change the sound quality of HD600. Bass became more pronounce and tight unlike a feeble bass which was the case without an amp. 300ohm headphones do require these amplifiers.
Unfortunately I didnt find DAC useful. I think I may not have the golden ears to differentiate the change in sound quality after plugging in the DAC. It could also be possible that my song quality may not be good enough for these hi-fi equipments. I use mostly 320 kbps bit rate songs with my ipod classic as the player. I also found the cables pretty useless for me because I dont have many fancy equipments to use these wires.
I returned the DAC and the cables to headroom for a refund because it was worth 400$ and I didnt get any upgrade worth that money. I liked the amp so I kept that with me.
