Pros: Practical design
Cons: Mediocre sound
I was seriously disappointed with the sound from these 'phones, particularly at the bass end. Yes, I tried the different sized caps. Maybe I've spoiled myself with the (cheaper) Maximo iMetal iM590's which I found just about mind-blowing, but these Sennheisers were a major let-down.

Athletes Delight

I would like to put in my two cents on this product
I've had this for over a month now so I guess I can write a legitimate review
The biggest complaint that I see is the cord length, sure its a bit short understanding if you're a tall person, i'm only 5'9" and would estimate of no more than 3" of play when it sits on my bicep. Though Addidas designed it to run underneath your collar down the your MP3 player that's situated on your armband to begin with, just like all their ads in magazines, you see everyone with an armband as do i running on the lakefront. Why are you going to run with an Ipod in your hand where there are armbands, hope you have insurance on it. It comes with a plug in extension that has a volume control in case you have a back back or something and you're on a bike or hiking etc. It think it's long enough, i've had my mp3 player in the weirdest pocket and had no problem running the line to my ears.
I enjoy these better than the CX 880, these have a warm dark and soft sound to them on a flat eq. The CX 880's made my ears hurt from the upper end of the frequency band even on a flat eq, though those suckers were like suction cups when inserted. On these, the higher end seems much flatter and controlled leading to a more natural sound.
The bass response is heavier than most and you notice it when you're sitting still, but while on the move it seems that its in a good balance. These are very clear, they seem slightly sharp the initial hours of playtime but when they burn in they do smoothen out as many speakers do.
These seem very comfortable for extended periods 1hr, 2 hrs, 3hrs, etc. Impact sports like running and racquetball, sure knock youfself out, they'll stay in as long as you have the correct earbud insert. I was doored by a negligent A hole on his cell phone, while I was on my bike; the impact sent me skidding on the pavement 10 yds, they were still in my ears lol.
So far the durability seems top notch. Unlike the Bose pair that I 've had, the cord deteriorated at the base of the stem, that really pissed me off. These have a kevlar tubing on the cord so they should hold off well in the long run though knowing this i'm still trying to be careful with them lol.
I think that these are a bang for the buck when you compare the durability and sound value, definitely worth my 90$ as well as I do recommend these to athletic junkies, from runners to bikers down to the gym rats and everyone else that I missed in between.

Does not stay in

Cons: Once you start to sweat, they lose traction and the bass drops out
I wanted the best sports earphones I could buy for under $200 and chose these. The sound is great but after working out and sweating I had to constantly readjust the earphones because I kept losing the bass. They are comfortable but my ears are average and I am using the largest plugs and fins that they supply, yet they still do not stay firmly in place. As is the case with most earbuds, when you lose the proper fit and 'suction', you also seem to lose the bass which is really annoying. The cord is also too short, not practical at all and adding the extension helps apart from the weight of the volume control helping to pull them out of your ears. If you are not using them to exercise, then they are great. However, since they are supposed to be used for sports activities, I do not recommend them. I am an indoor treadmill runner and sprinter so the weather was not a factor, sweat was. I am curious to try the other designs to see if they react better to workouts in the gym....I hope so because the sound is great if only I could hear it all, all the time.

The headphones seemed really nice at first. I got them so I could run while wearing them and not have to worry about weather or sweat. Well the headphones start off with a really short cable. I mean really short. There was no way I could run with it on even while using my arm band for my ipod. Then there is the attachment chord with a built in volume knob. With that attached the headphones are ridiculously long. The knob is prone to bouncing and likes to dangle putting pressure on your ears. The ear buds were nice and the headphones had great sound but I dont think the designers of these headphones were actually runners...
