Great quality cable, but weak termination

Pros: Easy replacement for HD580/600/25
Cons: Cable shorts out after 2-3 years of portable use.
I've had my HD25s for about 7 years now, and this will be the third time I'm replacing the cable. It seems that constant pocket use and running around causes the cable termination to short out after a few years. I'd imagine that the stock steel cable would not suffer from these issues, but the replacement cable makes such a large positive difference in sound that I keep replacing it.

Pros: relatively cheap, took a lot of abuse

I purchased the Sennheiser HD 580's about 10 years ago and they have been a great set of cans! After years of stepping on the cord and yanking it out, it finally shorted. As far as I'm concerned, for the amount of abuse that the cord took it lasted a long time.

It's Just a Replacement Cable

My old one shorted out after several years of "abuse". I figure I'll try to respect this cable a little more, because $35 for a skinny little cable is a bit crazy. It works, sounds as good as the old one. That's all you can really ask. I bought this for a HD 580.

Connects your headphones to your audio source in a perfectly acceptable fashion. Sounds fine. Is not up to the standards of some of the more expensive aftermarket cables.
