What's In The Box:
Etymotic Research steps up their game with a slew of great in-ear products geared for mobile music buffs wanting top sound quality performance and Apple iPhone-ready features at prices that won't break the bank. The Etymotic HF3 'headset' neatly fits that bill and delivers lively musical definition from 20Hz all the way up to 15,000kHz with extended dynamic range quickness and perhaps the clearest mic system in the category, along with some vibrant color choices to boot. Etymotic's uncompromising ER-4P signature tone remains audibly in place with the HF3 and presents a very clear response in the mids & highs -- the frequency ranges where voices and human speech occurs -- all underpinned by an extremely clean bass response. Claiming the best possible noise-blocking (up to -42dB!) from the deep 'earplug-like' fit of the HF3 earpieces, the isolation of this headset is blissfully sublime for the ultimate listening privacy. Etymotic's high-sensitivity microphone is their own proprietary design and works wonderfully to deliver your iPhone / smartphone calls with pristine speech intelligibility and voice resolution. Plus the handy 3-button Apple remote allows users to navigate their music and control calls at the flick of a switch. Great stuff and very highly recommended for music lovers rocking their iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
The Etymotic HF3 cord neatly extends about 4ft and terminates in a curved gold-plated 3.5mm mini-plug jack ideal for mobile music players and all iPhones. Four different types of 'universal fit' eartip sleeve types & sizes are included in the HF3 box; try them all for the best possible in-ear fit and sound. As a very cool extra, optional audiologist-customized in-ear molds for are easily available via Etymotic after purchase; any customer purchasing an Etymotic product can register their product at Etymotic.com. After registering, you can print a voucher from the Etymotic site, then schedule an appointment with an audiologist in the Etymotic network (which can be located through the Etymotic website by entering your zip code). You'll then take the voucher to the audiologist appointment, the audiologist will take impressions of your ears and send the impressions -- along with the voucher -- to the Ety labs. Customer pays nothing to the audiologist; the lab will contact you for credit card payment (for $100); the lab then produces the molds and ships them to the customer with the lab compensating the audiologist.
