The 50-watt HeadRoom Desktop Power Amp uses the latest generation of Class-D amplifier electronics from Bang & Olufsen for superb sound. The amplifier contains an ICEPower 50ASX-2 module which performs signal amplification, AC/DC conversion, and fault protection. It includes a front panel mute switch, auto shut-down features for overcurrent and thermal overheat protection, and additional circuitry for power supply regulation, input buffer and mode selection capabilities. Uber-beefy high-quality rear panel connectors are by Cardas Audio and WBT Electronics. The Desktop Power Amp contains its own AC to DC, and DC to DC conversion circuitry; no additional outboard power supply is required.
