Sennheiser EH 250

Similar in style, size, and ergonomics to the Sennheiser HD212Pro model, the EH 250 is a good-sounding headphone that leans slightly towards the warm side. Although perhaps slightly withdrawn in the mid-range, most rock n'rolling/rap/funk listeners will definitely enjoy the little more punch in the bass mix provided by the EH-250. These very efficient cans are easily driven and work well directly out of any portable player device or laptop computer. Sennheiser always employs excellent materials in their headphone products making these cans a great buy for listeners throwing them into a backpack, carry-on bag, or suitcase who enjoy roaming around listening to some jammin' tuneage.

The EH 250 is a sealed-earcup design that sort of splits the difference between circumaural & supra-aural earcup size. The EH250 have mid-sized, circular 'pleather' earpads that surround the ears, but they're small enough that the flat surface of the earpads rest gently on the outer part of the earlobes. The end result is a set of headphones that have the lightweight ergonomics and portable sizing of a supra-aural design, but maintain the secure fit and comfort of a larger circumaural earcup model.

The earcups attach via small, ball-like protrusions that ride in a groove in the headband; the detents in this groove allow you to adjust the fit. This arrangement also allows you to snap the earpieces off the headband for compact storage although the wear & tear this causes on the ball joint can effectively ruin the attachment point after too many re-attachments. The headphone cable is a three meter long (9ft) Y-cord type, connected to both earcups. At the other end, the cable is terminated with a 1/8" [3.5mm] headphone jack mini-plug. A quality 1/8” to ¼” full-size plug adapter is handily included in the Sennheiser EH250 package. A 2-year manufacturer's product warranty is provided by Sennheiser Electronics on all their headphones.
