Sennheiser RS 110

This is essentially the same wireless system as the RS120 model but without the cool auto-recharging system. These cans are powered from 2 AAA batteries located in one of the earcups. The sound is just fine for a wireless headphone in undemanding listening applications (TV, radio, etc.) and they are quite comfortable for most wearers, plus the price is great. But we feel quite strongly that the charger -- which also doubles as the transmitter base -- on the RS120/RS130/RS140 models is so convenient and prevents the need for constantly buying batteries that, frankly, it’s just silly not to spend the extra cash and get the upgraded rechargeable system. OTOH (on the other hand), two AAA batteries do pretty much run forever, about 25-30 hours at a minimum.

The RS110 is a well-constructed pair of supra-aural cans (meaning the earpieces rest on the outside part of your ears). The earpads are a soft and comfortable fabric material; the headband pads are also well-positioned to prevent “hot spots” on top of your head during long listening sessions. A study in basic simplicity, the RS110 has no controls on the base station (simply plug in the power and audio cables and, BAM, it works!) and the headphone controls are limited to volume, receiver tuning, and on/off switch. You also get the power supply connection cable and a couple of AAA batteries included in the packaging box.
