Some of our amps have space restrictions that only allow us to use small, but high quality, volume controls; these amps are: Portable Desktop, Micro Amp, Ultra Micro Amp, Total AirHead, and Total BitHead. The remaining Desktop and Home amps use a larger, very high quality Alps potentiometer and have more room so we can offer upgraded volume controls. These amps can be upgraded with a stepped attenuator. The Balanced Max Amp comes with a stepped attenuator and may be upgraded with the magnificent Alps RK50 Audio Potentiometer.
