What the heck are a bunch of headphone geeks doing building an audio system with speakers in it? Well there are two answers to that. The first is that we’re human too, and generally speaking, we’d rather listen to speakers when we can.
The second answer is a bit longer and a bit more pragmatic. We found that as we developed great personal listening solutions on the desktop, you naturally end up solving the whole problem. No need to have two pre-amps, one for your headphones and one for your speakers. So, in an effort to provide a single solution to save you some bucks and space on your desktop, we’ve pursued the speaker avenue as an addition back end for your desktop audio environment.

The Desktop Audiophile System is intended to be a complete and fully integrated system of hardware to provide you with an exquisite aural experience in your desktop/computer workstation environment. Each piece has been carefully designed and evaluated to provide the greatest synergy between the mechanical, electrical, functional, and operational performance---the stuff just ‘works’ superbly together. But don’t think you have to throw away your current gear just to get into this system. Each piece here performs just like others of its ilk; you can use your own amps, speakers, D-to-A converter, and/or headphone amp. Heck, just buying the stands alone will provide a huge improvement of the sonics of any quality computer or bookshelf speakers on your desktop. Even though it’s designed as a holistic system, do feel free to pick and choose the best bits that work especially well for your current needs.
