The sound quality is quite impressive and the wearing comfort is too on the handy-dandy 'clip-on' style, highly portable Koss KSC-75 earphones. We've been recommending this KSC line from Koss for nearly 20 years now, and they've always been the very best-sounding things available on the market at the extreme lower tier of the price scale. The Koss KSC-75 clip-ons are perfect for the extra-active listener needing an inexpensive pair of headphones that you won't have to worry about sweating up at the gym, fitting under your sport helmet or using with that groovy skullcap. And since the open-back earpieces won't completely seal the ear, city dwellers can maintain needed situational awareness for deftly dodging traffic on their latest multi-wheeled aggro-toy or metropolitan transportation of choice.

With silver plastic spaceship earpieces and frost-clear ear clips that look rather like 1950s wire-rims, these headphones -- like most other 'ear-clip' category of headphones -- are rather unique-looking and may perhaps feel a bit weird on a few extra-sensitive earlobes; for some listeners, they'll take a bit of acclimation time to get feeling comfortable. The Koss KSC-75 come with a short mobility-oriented 4ft headphone cable terminated in an 'easy-on-the-jack' 90-degree [right-angled] 1/8" (3.5mm) mini plug ideal for iPod, iPad, iPhone, laptops and MP3 players. That standard Koss limited lifetime warranty sure is extra-sweet; if they break, Koss fixes or replaces for life so remember to keep our '100% authorized Koss dealer' HeadRoom purchase receipt just in case you ever need it!

Very pleased but not surprised
Posted by Samuel J from Chicago, IL on 2012-04-05

Recommend Product: Yes
Pros: rich sound, lifetime waranty!
Cons: earclip design will take time to adjust to

Well as of Monday, I have my 4th pair of shorted-out Sennheisers (2 pairs of PX100's, a PX100-II, and HD595). I prefer open back sets for indoor use. I use Etymotic & Shures for commuting on trains & busses. I can't say I surprised that these Koss clip-on's sound so cool. Every review on the internet, including HeadRoom's says so. But still, after spending so much money on headphones over the years, I'm still shocked that I spent under 20 bucks for these. On top of that, they have a lifetime warranty!!! Why don't YOU do that, Sennheiser??? Calling these a value is an understatement. Now, honestly, these Koss KSC 75's aren't able to replace my HD595's, but they don't need to. These are great "entertainment" headphones; they're good for enjoying music, movies, and games. They are tuned as such with strong bass, but at least the highs aren't sacrificed for it. I'll probably end up getting in the habit of EQ'ing them to relax the bass and slightly bump the mids, but even with no EQ these Koss phones are the best bargain I've found yet. These will make EXCELLENT gifts, too!

Great little clips for the price
Posted by Mishalex from New York, NY on 2012-03-12

Recommend Product: Yes
Pros: Nice, affordable sound quality with a bit of presence
Cons: Clips detach from earpads; can easily be reattached though.

I don't know that I can really add anything to what others have already said about these. They are great little clip-on headphones for on-the-go or active users, and they don't sound too bad either, especially considering their low price. The only downside is that they don't isolate at all and leak sound, but at for $20.00, I can't really complain. Definitely recommended. Note that if you have larger ears, you might need to stretch the metal clips a bit before they will fit comfortably and that in so doing, the clips might come off. Fear not though, as they will easily snap back in place.

Can't do better for the price and function
Posted by Remo from whereever on 2011-09-15

Recommend Product: Yes
Pros: Sound (for price), convenience, sharp looks
Cons: Clips are annoying, but a necessary evil

Sound: Surprising good sound for clips. Better than my old Sennheiser P100s (which always sounded a little muddy in the midrange). However, not quite up to my grado 60s, but hey, you can use them in the gym!! And they r way better than most cheap headphones. I also like the open cans -- let's me hear my kids when I wander aimlessly around the house cleaning up after them.

As an aside, most clips tend not to sound too great because they don't get a good fit on the ears. However, these hold quite tight. The speakers r good, too. Which why the sound is such a surprise.

As a second aside, they do let in outside noise, so you have to turn them up at the gym because of the ambient background. I've used "in ear" plugs in the past. They keep the sound out, but the plugs started irritating my ear canal.

Comfort: Not as comfy as a regular headband. But the lightweight and excellent earpads help make up for being clips. They are more difficult to get on then regular headbands

Looks: Cool -- Feel, see above.
