Based on the acclaimed Image X10 headphones, the Klipsch Image X10i headset offers the best in style and comfort with full features for your iPhone or iPad. The sound caters to discriminating Apple listeners who play lossless music and take calls on the fly. The X10i earpieces are high-end machined aluminum and finished in a cool anodized copper flashing. Proprietary full-range armature micro-speaker drivers with a uniquely tuned bass-reflex system deliver rapid dynamic extension, magnificent voice clarity and a full-toned bass response. Naturally smooth in the uppermost treble ranges for zero harshness or sibilance, please remember the X10i is not geared for casual MP3 listening. The X10i microphone and remote is conveniently positioned at the cord yoke—where the two cables meet at chest level—to create a more natural feel when answering calls or controlling music. It doesn’t matter how great a pair of headphones sound if they are painful to wear. Unlike traditional circular-shaped eartips that put stress on the pressure points inside your ear canal, the X10i utilizes unique Klipsch-patented 'half-oval' ear tips that naturally fit the shape of your ear canals, making them extremely comfortable to wear for short or long periods. Additionally, these proprietary eartips produce a wonderful acoustic seal, minimizing outside noise so you can enjoy your music at lower, safer volumes.  The Image X10i comes with a strong 2-year manufacturer's "repair or replace" product warranty (with your HeadRoom 'authorized dealer' proof-of-purchase receipt) and includes an excellent array of 5 pairs of variously-sized eartips, an earpiece cleaning tool, an airline plug adaptor, a full-size ¼-inch stereo jack adaptor, a protective carry/travel pouch as well as a shirt clip for securing the headphone cord slack to your shirt, if desired.

While the Klipsch Image X10i stereo headset can serve as premium headphones for any audio device with a 3.5 mm (1/8") headphone jack like original iPods, WalkMan, portable CD players, laptops and MP3 players, its mic/remote system will only handle the music and/or voice control of the following Apple products: iPhone 3GS, 3rd gen iPod Shuffle, 2nd Gen iPod Touch, 4th/ 5th Gen iPod Nano models, iPod Classic 120GB, and iPad. If you have an iPod Touch or iPhone with Wi-Fi access, you can also use the Image X10i with most VoiP programs (you'll need a VoiP adapter for PC or Mac), Skype and iChat.

Recommend Product: Yes
Pros: Great sound, good packaging, very light weight
Cons: cords are microphonic, and the cloth covered cords more fragile

They are so light weight that with the unique big flange ear tips, it should be easy to achieve a great seal. My ear canals are large and the tips included worked perfectly. The same tips did not work well with the Custom 3 because it weighed more. I had to use Shure black olive tips for the Klipch Custom 3.

Really, the greatest advantage is that they are so light, but sound so good. The Etymotics are very light and sound more neutral than the Klipsch and are a bit cheaper. The Klipsch 10-x has more bass than the Etymotics.

I really like the Klipsch 10. They are really fun, but the Etymotics are probably more accurate. also light, and appear to be more sturdy.

I have owned a lot of headphones, some pretty high end stuff (including some $1,000 Ultimate Ears), and these little beauties are my favorites. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music and these never disappoint. Tight, punchy bass and defined treble, and everything in between is perfectly balanced. From the thumping bass in the opening of Sade's "Siempre Hay Esperanza" to the high hat in Aerosmith's "Love in an Elevator," it all comes through loud and clear - and I am listening to my iPhone with the equalizer off. These are a well worth the price. I they passed a law that each person could only own one set of headphones, these would be my choice.

Disappointing

Pros: Excellent sound stage, very comfortable, good isolation
Cons: Highs roll off, veiled sound, too expensive

Ordered these as a replacement for my Sennheiser IE 8s that don't give me enough isolation. For the money, these just didn't deliver. Instrument imaging and bass was very good but high end presentation just completely lacked. They will be returned.
