General Shipping Information
HeadRoom strives to offer very high quality reliable shipping that remains cost-effective for our customers. Here's some quick tips:
- We ship daily Monday-Friday 52 wks a year except for our official company holiday closures. If ALL your items are officially "in stock", your HeadRoom order will typically ship the same or the following Business Day after your order has been officially placed.
- ALWAYS ship to a business whenever possible for fastest delivery!
- Signatures are 100% required on ALL HeadRoom packages. If you would like to waive the signature requirement, you may elect to do so, but HeadRoom is absolutely NOT responsible for lost, stolen, or mis-shipped items! A signature release MUST be in writing; please add the statement "no signature required" to the Notes/Comments area of our online order cart (at the end of order placement process). If you call-in your order to a HeadRoom salesperson, you MUST send an email to Sales indicating you are voluntarily waiving the signature requirement. Thefts occur regularly, even if you think you live in a safe neighborhood, so we very highly recommend someone sign for your package at all times. (Please note you may send the package to your workplace so that someone is present to sign for the package during business hours.)
- If you have officially waived your signature or if someone else unknown to you has officially signed for your package, HeadRoom remains absolutely NOT responsible for ANY lost, damaged, stolen, broken, or mis-shipped packages!!
- We do NOT use our shipping costs as a profit center! We strive to provide our customers with the most cost-effective AND, more importantly, most reliable shipping service possible.

Shipping Carrier
HeadRoom exclusively uses FedEx for our primary shipping carrier. Their service is not necessarily the cheapest but it is extremely fast & highly reliable worldwide. Their online automated package tracking service is also second to none. Even though FedEx can indeed be several dollars more, you'll find quite reasonable shipping rates here at HeadRoom.
FedEx Express Saver, 2nd Day, and Overnight shipping are available with HeadRoom and typically run $12-$45 per package. Costs vary according the zone where you are located, the actual size of the package, speed of delivery, and whether you choose business or residential service (a business address is always best).
FedEx Express Saver: a 3-4 day service, which means your package should arrive within 3-4 business days.
FedEx 2nd Day: delivery means your package should arrive within 2 business days of when it ships (they often make it a day early out here in the Northwest!).
Standard Overnight: Delivery on the very next business day.
Priority Overnight: means that your package will arrive during the first half of the next business day. In some FedEx areas this is by 11 a.m. while in other jurisdictions it is by 2:00pm. Please check with your neighborhhod FedEx office for their particular delivery policies.
For inexpensive packages weighing under 1 pound AND totaling under $50, we also offer USPS Priority Mail Shipping within the continental USA [ONLY] for $6-$8 upon customer request. Due to our infrequent USPS access, delivery times will typically run about 7-10 business days. However, keep in mind USPS Mail tracking is VERY limited and international packages are NOT insurable when selecting USPS mailing.
'Split-Shipping' Policy & Fees
For orders containing multiple items, HeadRoom will hold shipments until ALL items are officially in-stock; we'll ship everything together to minimize your shipping costs. Upon customer request, we will gladly 'split-ship' your in-stock items immediately and then send the out-of-stock items upon arrival at HeadRoom. Please be advised there is an additional $10usd 'split-ship' service fee (over & above the actual package mailing charges) for all customer-requested HeadRoom split shipments. This split-shipping service is available ONLY within the continental USA.
Shipping Times
If you place an order Monday through Friday, before 12noon Montana Mountain Time (that's 2pm on the east coast), and ALL your ordered items are "in stock", your order should go out the same day. If you order an item after 12-noon, your in-stock order should go out the next Business Day. For example, if you place an online order over the weekend for "in-stock" items, it will be processed and shipped on Monday.
We try to keep all items in stock as much as possible, but in the event of a back-order we will notify you via email within 1-3 business days. Our website cart updates stock quantities every 24-48 hrs so there exists a remote chance something you ordered appeared 'in-stock' on the website but may become temporarily "back-ordered" before we had a chance to process your online order request and correctly adjust available quantities.
Alaska & Hawaii
If you are ordering from Alaska or Hawaii, please note that the shipping methods we offer will generally take 2-3 days longer than in the continental U.S. Therefore, 2nd Day Air Express is the minimum FedEx shipping charge to Hawaii or Alaska.
Saturday Delivery
You can also elect non-business day Saturday FedEx delivery in a few areas, but shipping charges will typically start at about $45-$50 for those FedEx jurisdictions where Saturday delivery is even an option. If you are interested in a Saturday delivery order, please call your neighborhood FedEx office directly (not us!) to make sure Saturday delivery is indeed available in your local area.
FPO's, APO, & PO Boxes
We also gladly ship to USA post office boxes or military APO/FPO's upon request using USPS Priority Mail delivery. Please call us at 800-828-8184 if you have any questions.
*Please be advised all package shipping costs via ANY carrier is a 100% Non-Refundable fee. HeadRoom will not be held responsible for missed, slow, or late package shipments due to circumstances beyond our control including unexpected carrier delivery delays, weather and/or mechanical-related delivery slow-downs, 'signature-required' package drop-off enforcement, delivery hang-tag notification, or other any other reason(s). Although FedEx and USPS are usually very reliable package delivery services, all HeadRoom shipping fees are completely NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
