With the FiiO X3-II player, high-resolution music fans do not have to worry about lack of format support or format conversion issues. The X3 can even decode Apple’s proprietary ALAC format seamlessly. It offers a large storage capability (up to 128GB) via external micro SD cards. In addition, a neat onboard 10-band graphic EQ provides detailed tone adjustment of the audio presentation to your exact musical tastes.
The FiiO X3II can serve not only as a high-res media player, but also as a stand-alone USB DAC when connected to any computer. This updated 2nd Gen version of the X3 now features dual crystal oscillators said to improve overall D-to-A reproduction accuracy by up to 25 times over the first iteration. Other updated features include a completely re-designed user interface, a solid-feeling mechanical scroll wheel, plus a useful analog line output and coaxial-digital output with a variable output gain control.
In our Headphone.com review opinion, we think the FiiO X3 - 2nd Gen. is yet another winning product at a fairly affordable price from the FiiO headphone amp/DAC/player juggernaut. For music lovers using good quality headphones of any stripe, we highly recommend listening to one of these amazing little units ASAP.
The FiiO X3-II Media Player can indeed play all the music files stored on your iTunes library. Here's how to do it - It's super easy!
Once a micro SD card is installed in the player device, connect the FiiO player to your computer via USB. The FiiO player will be recognized as a USB External Hard Drive.
Then all you need to do is find your source folder for all your iTunes music (which is usually found in Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music on a PC) and simply drag or copy the desired folders over to the FiiO X1-II device. All artist and track information will then be recognized and displayed by the FiiO unit as your iTunes music plays perfectly. BAM!
