Product Features:
- Reference-Grade 1/4" to 1/8" Flex Adaptor
- Ideal for Full-Size 1/4" Plug Headphones & iPods or Portable Amps
- Cardas High Definition 'Mini' Interconnect Cabling
It's always a good idea to use the best plug adaptors possible in your headphone system. Rest assured that's precisely what you'll get with all of Oregon-based Cardas Audio headphone cabling & connector products.
This short 6-inch pliable flex-adaptor uses the renown Cardas Audio 'mini' interconnect cable construction wedded to a beefy female 1/4" full-size connector via an extremely strong heat-shrunk relief joint. The female 1/4" receptacle is built of a very durable lightweight plastic to minimize the housing weight. It's the perfect adaptor accessory for alleviating potentially damaging strain off the small sensitive mini-plug [3.5mm] source jacks on your iPod, laptop computer, or portable headphone amp when using big headphones with stereo 1/4" full-size terminations. Gold-plated right-angled 3.5mm (1/8") male termination.
This is the best adaptor of this type that we've ever tried here at HeadRoom and a rather hard to find but critical accessory -- so get an extra one for your other set of reference headphones!

Pros: Appreciated flexibility and it's sonically neutral
Cons: Mine broke so reliability may be questionable
The right angle plug format is a nice idea to help in the protection of the 1/8" plug that's more fragile than their big brother, the 1/4". The fit is secure and the flexibility of the short length of cable does add to the ease of use.
Sonically, it's excellent.
Unfortunately, I began having issues with a channel cutting out and this would be fixed by twisting the 1/4" connection point. So I haven't had a good experience with reliability. A one off fluke? I don't know.... Despite this, I'd still recommend it because of it's sonic excellence and fine ergonometrics.
