This Cardas headphone replacement cable features a full-size 1/4" plug connector built by Cardas Audio. "Special-order" terminations of your choice are also available by calling HeadRoom; However, please keep in mind all 'special-orders' are NOT eligible for HeadRoom return or exchange. Unlike many other high-end replacement cables, Cardas custom heat-molds the connectors individually and uses a proprietary four-conductor cable to dramatically reduce the number of solder joints needed in their design. Cardas Audio headphone replacement cables are also available in 15' and 20' lengths if needed. You can also order balanced/XLR Cardas Audio headphone cable sets for our HeadRoom Balanced Desktop Amp. Another great Cardas headphone cable replacement available as a "stock" product is a short-run Cardas Mini-Plug Replacement Cable featuring a 3.5mm (1/8") mini-plug termination perfect for iPods, laptop/PC computers, for portable-use, on-the-go listening, and near-field applications -- like at your desktop workstation. FYI!: To quickly replace the headphone cables of your HD580, HD600, or HD650, simply pull the stock cable connectors straight out from the earcups with a firm tug and then insert the replacement cable with the Cardas nautilus shell logo facing outwards [towards the outside of the earcups]. DO NOT TWIST THE CORD PLUGS DURING REMOVAL!

Pros: Highly flexible, Amazing sound.

When I first received my 650s, I thought they sounded, well, bland. They were nothing special in my opinion. But I kept listening and ordered this cable. WOW. The "veil" that so many point out for the 650s simply vanishes. Granted this was a combination of burn in of the drivers and the new cable, but wow what a difference. This cable will make a believer out of anyone on the importance of a good cable. Everything is brought forward, the "veil" lifts and the chorus comes through all the better. Yes this is expensive, but use it for a while. Then one day remove it and re-insert the original cable. Now do you believe me. Yuck! The original cable sounds 2 dimensional and skewed. Plug back in the Cardas cable, ahhhhh, thats better. Your safe, and so is your music.

These cables made my Senn. HD650 sound a lot more up front. That was my only problem w/the HD650 is the laid back sound. These cables help a lot. I would recomend these be purchased at the same time you by the HD650. a little pricy but if you want a great sound do it.
