Digital to analog converters transform binary [0s and 1s] digital music data into an analog audio signal. HeadRoom manufactures our own proprietary line of Montana-made Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) both as internal installations within a headphone amp and as separate 'stand-alone' D-to-A components. We also retail a variety of truly stand-out DAC products from other manufacturers tested and approved by our expert HeadRoom staff.
A DAC will convert optical, coaxial S/PDIF and USB computer digital audio signals into a richly detailed analog music signal that can be fed to an amplifier or dedicated headphone amp to drive headphones and/or self-powered bookshelf or computer speakers.
