The Monster Beats Pro are the most expensive headphones in Monster's line-up and, once you pick them up, the first you'll likely notice is the additional cash buys a lot of extra heft and beefiness in the design when compared to the less expensive Beats by Dre Studio model. Thickly machined metal headband structure ensure no cracking, squeaking or headband-to-earcup assembly issue regardless of how rough or carelessly you typically treat your headphones. The substantial build quality is the best we've seen from Monster and is sure to please hard-working DJs and audio pros needing their work cans to last the test of time and serious daily use in heavy-duty conditions. On the down side, the Beats Pro are a bit heavy with a secure headband clamping force -- which may be just the ticket if dancing behind the decks is your prefered modus operandi when clubbing. The deep-well, full-size (circumaural) Beats Pro earpads completely encircle and envelop the earlobes delivering average-to-good isolation ability and the Beats Pro real leather cushions will typically rest on the outer part of the earlobes on most wearers. Sonically, the bass is pleasingly plump and textural with a mid/low-end accentuation remaining controlled sans roiling bloat. Although perhaps a bit inarticulate in spots, bass response nevertheless remains musical with extension into the lowest octaves being quite good for a 'DJ'-category headphone. Midranges and highs soar cleanly without stridency or overt grain, although we detect a slight roll-off at the uppermost treble frequencies. The Monster Beats Pro are a recommended choice for DJs wanting strong, powerful headphones ready for intensive work behind the boards or for personal audio fiends wanting the best Monster has to offer.
One nice plus for working DJs using the Monster Beats Pro headphones is the ability to employ the detachable hp cable from either the left or right earcup as needed. The provided Monster headphone cord is a straight/coiled mix and both earcups can be easily rotated fully away for one-ear DJ mixing or cueing. The Beats Pro sport good efficiency ratings meaning you'll be able to plug these cans into any club deck or turntable set-up and get intelligible, clear volume from the headphones without needing a dedicated headphone amp.

Pros: Amazing looks, Recognized brand, Tough Build, Detatchable Cables, Ear-Cup Swivel
Cons: Poor Value, Uncomfortable, Heavy, Harsh Treble, Unaccurate Lows and mids, Construction Issues
Putting these on for the first time, I noticed they were quite heavy, and nearly impossible to keep on the head if not straight. The earpads are very uncomfortable, making your ears hot, and sore after just 15 minutes of use. The headband size extends an extraordinary amount though, which is a great plus if you just so happen to be wearing a hat. Very minimal clamp pressure though, if it wasnt for that leather(ish) headband, they would fall right off your head!
Now for sound quality, I was very disappointed with the bass actually, as it was distorted, and not as powerful as the well known Beats™ Studios. The mids on the other hand were quite crisp compared to the Studios, and were nowhere near as recessed. The highs however, are very powerful. Treble becomes very harsh and unbearable! Even when equalized and amped the treble will still continuesly hurt. Best sounding headphones on the Beats™ line though if you arent looking for bass!
After a little bit of time, the notches for the swivel mechanic on the earcups becomes very loose, as well as the headband adjuster. And since the cans are so heavy, they easily swivel and extend by themself when held in certain directions.

Pros: I love the looks and there's a lot of like about them!
Cons: Poor value, they got a quite bad treble, they certainly weren't made for all kinds of music
But the sennheiser momentum drivers got a weakness and that's the mids-treble part, but the background details still sound a while lot better.
And they can be equalized a tiny amount to make it sound a little better but I like it flat, I'm sure there's the shape of the beats pro cups making it sound muddier than it should but I'm not done tweaking with the cups to get the right audio!
I would recommend you buying a fake pair for cheap and then just throwing those cheap speakers in the bin replacing it by something better, I imagine installing sennheiser HD 650 drivers and drilling some small holes at places not that visible to make the cups more open as the 650's are.
But that would be 150$ just for the drivers and warranty and how well it works will be an expensive guessing game.
