Shure's offering in mid-priced in ear headphones shows a level of technological prowess and market understanding that can only signal the end of the beginning for in ear headphones. These little SE310s are evidence that the market for very small, high-performance in ear headphones is real and is beginning to deliver a level of across-the-board performance that makes for a popular and long-lived category of product. Too much weight for one little pair of cans that you could wrap your fist around to bear? Possibly, but we just can't get past the fact that the SE310 is pretty much the perfect balance of everything we've hoped for in a mid-priced earphone for the past 17 years. Believe us, your iPod is lonely for a pair of SE310s.

As always, the proper in-ear fit is critical for best in-ear sound and wearing comfort. Also included in the fit kit is a 3-ft modular cable extension which can provide about a 4.5-ft total cable length for the SE310. Would you recommend this product: Yes
I love these headphones, and think they are the best value of all the Shure IEMs I have tried, which is a fair number. These are my favorite for the price. They sound almost as good as the SE530, and cost significantly less. They are also smaller and lighter, and you don't have to worry as much if you lose them or they get damaged in transit. If you are familiar with the Shure sound, you know what you are getting with the SE310. It's all about the mids. And while some complain that they lack in the highs, I find that to be overstated, and in any event would not be inclined to notice so much, given how great the mids sound. Round that out with good quality, but not overpowering bass, and you have another classic IEM from Shure. I highly recommend these.
