Wireless headphones consist of a base transmitter station and a pair of cordless headphones. Very often people use wireless cans with their TV or radio, but they can be used in a variety of ways around the home & office in undemanding listening applications. Sadly, wireless headphones are often rather poor-sounding, and they can have substantial limitations on transmission ranges, but there are some acceptable models out there. Most notably, Germany's Sennheiser has made nice strides in the wireless headphone industry.
